A Calm & Serene Home – Livspace Interior Design in Bangalore

Home is like a temple for me, for all the
3 of us. Temple is a place where you feel safe. Where you feel there is somebody taking care of your emotions. Where you feel confident that somebody is listening to your voice. Where you get peace of mind. That is how my house – I feel like – a temple. I’m Gayatri. My husband is Suresh and my daughter is Khushi. We’re only 3 people at home, and we have
our mother-in-law staying with us. I’m basically a civil engineer, I’ve been
working in this field for almost 18 years. I think Livspace really had a tough time to
work with me because I always go into 100% perfection. We were looking into a house, where we wanted to buy a villa kind. So, lots of places we were looking out for
a villa, then we landed up in Prestige White Meadows. Then when we thought, ok this is a hi-fi luxury project, we need to also hire a professional architect or somebody who can design my house, that is the time where I Googled a lot, that is the time we finalized Livspace. As soon as you open the door, you have a foyer. So I thought, ok, I wanted something where I can sit for sometime, read the paper or something like that. So I can chat with my husband sitting there, I just have a seating space. Like it’s a complete package of calmness
there. Now I have a Buddha place and then I have two seatings where I sit, read the paper, or talk to my husband. Then I wanted my living room to be looking
more like, royal, and then rich, so we didn’t go for any other colours other than brown
and golden and white. I wanted to have both dining and sofas to
be placed. So we decided to have some laser cut partitions. It looks like now it’s a partition for my
dining, living, as well to my master bedroom, it protects from looking directly. My daughter’s room was very special to us, because we thought we should give everything inside, and she should have everything. So I sat with Rida and we tried to figure
out how we could fit everything into that single room, and that is how her room is designed. She has a slide, she has a swing, she has
a step, where she can feel like a park. More than any other room for us, her room was like, we took almost 20-25 days to design that but her room was special to us. Even the master bedroom, I didn’t want to
go for any colours because the master bedroom again, it’s just husband and wife, and the
child sometimes enters, where you have to relax and sleep nicely and not looking into
anything. So again we went for simple colours
but it looks royal and rich. And then my mother-in-law’s room. Again, as she is old, when she’s sleeping
she should sleep with calmness and cool and healthy. So green means health, right? So we thought ok, let her be healthy, let
her go for green and we went for green in her room. I have a space for guests as well, even for
study. So that my husband can use for work from home options, as well as if I have work I can sit and do it there with calm. So we decided to go both with bedroom as well as study space. Actually, what happens is in any other architectural firm, when you approach them, they’ll just take your requirement, what you want, like
what is your budget and how you want this, whether it’s a contemporary, modern or ethnic. After that they don’t take the client into
consideration at all. But what happened with Rida (Livspace designer) is everything, whenever she designs, she talks to me, she takes each and every point, even at 12 o’ clock in the night, I think so many times she has sent me the design, Gayatri, is it ok, are you ok with it, are you happy. If I say small things, something is here like, so she goes into deep point also and she changes whatever I want, the way I want it. She never said ‘no’ at all. Many people who came to my house-warming ceremony, they asked who is doing it. In fact, I think one of my friends also liked
the house. She also is going through Livspace now for house renovation. So that is how Livspace also got recognized and we also referred to so many people, we said everybody, Livspace has done it, so I
will surely recommend Livspace to everyone. Need more interior design inspiration? Subscribe to our channel for new home tours, design ideas and more, every week!

It looks so scattered. Doesn’t look like a cohesive design. Looks like each room was designed by a different person. In fact a normal carpenter would have suggested a better design
